Fay Surety is a pixie, a little guardian, who lives
with her younger sister, Aqua, in a beautiful, magical place called Guardian
Meadow. The meadow is home to her
people, the Little Guardians.
Fay has heard her name whispered in the wind,
haunting her dreams and now spoken by Live Oak Tree as Barry pledges his love
and protection to her. The tree tells
her that she must transcend into the human world to help Elfa Browne. Who is Elfa Browne? Why does he need her help?
While disguised as a human teenager, Fay will help
Elfa uncover an amazing secret, make new friends, teach Hector, the local
bully, a lesson and become enthralled with the skateboard and roller skating
competition in Gardien Park; which is the parallel dimension to Guardian
Meadow.
When the dimensional world is suddenly compromised,
Fay and Elfa find themselves working with the Guardians of the Past, Present
and Future to rid the Meadow of the evil force, FOE, Fiends Of Evil.
Little Guardians is a story of family togetherness,
self-confidence, friendship and teamwork to overcome obstacles all sprinkled
with glimmer dust and wrapped up in a glorious package of LOVE!
This is Regina Crawford’s first novel. She is a caring, loving wife for Keith and a
proud mother to Justin and Lori. Regina
is striving for personal satisfaction and to regain her independence after an
injury. Family values are important to
her as you can see by “reading between the lines” in the Little Guardian
series.
Little Guardians: Saving Guardian Meadow is her
“first wing”, her attempt, at entertaining all kinds of readers while providing
encouragement to people facing adverse situations in their life.
Regina wants to create an entertaining and welcoming
retreat so the reader can feel like they are part of the magical world of the
Little Guardians.
“Be brave; give your dreams and your life, their
wings!” RC
On a clear sunny day in May, you can hear a
bumblebee’s buzz clear across the meadow.
It was on a day like this that guardian; Fay Surety met a boy named,
Elfa Browne.
Fay resides in Guardian Meadow and today is May 1st,
Coronation Day at the Royal Court of Crimson Roses. Every Guardian in the meadow is supposed to be on alert and yet
the excitement in the air will drive you crazy with anticipation. Today the sky, like Fay’s eyes, is a unique
shade of blue, almost lilac, when you marvel at the transparency of the
clouds. The sun is bright and warm as
the spring season fast approaches. The
air is filled with the scent of dew kissed crimson roses, white lilacs, lily of
the valley and buttercups – all dancing in the morning breeze.
“Fay, are you daydreaming?” Aqua squeaked in her
petite shrunken voice.
Fay turned just in time to see her little sister,
Aqua Surety, slide off the golden wings of her pet dragonfly, Quatro. As she dismounted, Aqua returned to her
normal size. The special relationship
between the guardians and nature allows them to authenticate their body size to
any situation. They all love being able
to shrink down and then regain their normal shape at any time when they touch a
Guardian of the Future.
Aqua looks stunning in her tulip shaped dress that
is the same shade of aqua as her eyes.
Her wings are dusted with iridescent glitter; which when it reflects off
her chestnut hair, makes her look like she’s surrounded by a halo.
“I’m not daydreaming! I’m-- I’m thinking about how exciting today will be for
Laurel.” Fay responds,
defensively. “You look so great today,
Aqua.”
Fay looked fondly at her younger sister as she
realized how fast she was growing up.
Aqua is a young, pre-teen guardian with long brown hair, big expressive
eyes and an infectious personality that makes everyone who knows her, love
being around her. Aqua knows how to
have fun. I’m the serious one, Fay
thought.
“Your lilac dress is gorgeous, Fay! The silver thread shimmers and I love how
your violet eyes sparkle when you wear that dress. Your golden brown hair
reflects the sunlight and you look so soft; it seems like you float instead of
walk.” Aqua sighed. “Wait until Barry sees you, he’ll be
following you around all day.”
Fay blushed at the mention of Barry’s name. She’s the older of the two sisters and yet
she seems more like a mother. Aqua
paused as she thought of their parents and couldn’t wait for the coronation
celebration to call for the Guardians of the Past. Their visits were always highly anticipated and special.
“I just want everything to be perfect today. The hummingbirds are humming and the bees
are buzzing. Morning sunlight is
streaming through the trees and lending a golden glow to everything it touches
in the meadow. The waterfall is
glistening and--” Fay hesitated, “I hope
I haven’t forgotten anything.”
She quickly glanced around the meadow, but was only
greeted with the beauty of the day and the unfathomable perfection of nature.
“Everything in the Royal Court of Crimson Roses is
as beautiful as always, Fay, you worry too much.” Aqua stated.
